HireDo Inc. ("HireDo", "we", "us", "our") is a Canadian company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. HireDo operates a marketplace and technology platform that helps service seekers ("Customers") connect with independent service providers ("Professionals"). HireDo was founded by Sami Hashimi and co-founded by Jai Mallem.

HireDo is a facilitator and technology provider only. HireDo does not provide the services and does not supervise or control professionals. Professionals are independent contractors and are not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of HireDo. Any service agreement formed is solely between the customer and the professional.

Customers do not pay HireDo to submit requests or receive matches. Professionals may be required to purchase and use Hire Units to access certain paid Platform features (such as viewing leads, responding to requests, or premium tools). Hire Unit requirements and pricing may vary by service category, location, urgency, and other factors, and will be shown in the platform before a professional confirms a purchase or uses a paid feature. Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

HireDo may offer verification tools (such as profile checks, badges, or document uploads). However, HireDo does not guarantee identity, licensing, background, insurance status, or the quality of services. Customers are responsible for choosing professionals and confirming suitability for their project.

To protect the Platform and prevent unfair use, customers and professionals agree not to circumvent HireDo. Circumvention includes exchanging contact details to avoid the Platform, moving the job off-platform to avoid fees or Hire Units, or using information gained through HireDo to build a competing marketplace.

Where permitted by law, for a period of twelve (12) months after a match is created on the Platform, the parties agree not to use HireDo introductions for the primary purpose of bypassing HireDo. HireDo may take action including account suspension, lead access restrictions, or legal enforcement to protect its business.

The Platform, its design, workflows, features, and content are owned by HireDo and protected by Canadian and international laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Platform without written permission.

Feedback you provide may be used by HireDo to improve the Platform without compensation to you.

Users may post reviews and ratings based on genuine experiences. You agree your content will be truthful and not defamatory, abusive, or misleading. HireDo may remove or moderate content that violates these terms, our guidelines, or applicable law.

Any disputes about pricing, quality, scheduling, property damage, warranties, or performance are between the customer and professional. HireDo is not responsible for the services and is not required to mediate disputes. HireDo may, at its option, provide support tools (such as messaging records) to help resolve issues.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireDo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. To the extent HireDo is found liable, HireDo’s total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees actually paid by the user to HireDo for paid Platform features during the three (3) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, except where a different limitation is required by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HireDo and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your Services, your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

HireDo may suspend or terminate accounts, restrict access to features, or remove content if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, safety risk, policy violations, or legal exposure. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

HireDo collects and uses personal information to operate the Platform, facilitate matching, support customer and professional accounts, process requests, and improve safety. This may include account details, contact information, device data, service request details, communications made through the Platform, and location information when location-enabled features are used.

You agree that you will only use personal information obtained through HireDo for legitimate service-related purposes and will comply with applicable privacy laws. We limit access to personal and sensitive data to authorized personnel, service providers, and systems that need it to operate the Platform, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, recordkeeping, and enforcement of our terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict of laws rules. You agree that any legal proceeding will be brought in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, unless prohibited by applicable law.

These terms become legally binding when you access or use the Platform, create an account, submit a request, respond to a request, or otherwise use HireDo.
